Lourdata Village
The peaceful village of Lourdas sits on a steep hillside on the south coast of Kefalonia surrounded by the pine forest and cypress trees of Mount Aenos. An area of steep hillsides, which ends in a lovely beach with pale white sand and beautiful crystal clear waters. It’s a traditional picturesque village with a central square shaded by a plane tree, with little taverns and beach bars tucked into the streets around it.
Lourdas is a coastal settlement and is quite popular for its well-organized beach. The combination of the crystalline waters and stunning mountain backdrop of Mount Aenos provides dream-like scenery that captivates all sights. Not far from the coast lies the Monastery of Sissia.
Lourdas Beach
Lourdas beach is located at Lourdata village just 15km from Argostoli. Lourdata is built at a privileged location with dense vegetation and fruitful land. The long sandy beach attracts plenty of tourists and locals due to the exceptional location and the crystal clear waters. The sea is quite deep in some parts so much attention must be paid when small kids swim. There are plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas for rent, watersport facilities, beach bars and mini markets. At the area there are many taverns and restaurants.
